Over the course of the previous five years, 26-year-old tattoo enthusiast and apprentice Tristan Weigelt has drastically changed the way he looks by covering 95 percent of his body in tattoos. Weigelt, who started this massive body art journey at the age of 20, recently posted incredible before images that contrast sharply with his inked appearance now. He feels the same on the inside despite the drastic shift.
Weigelt compared the experience to being scratched with a metal brush and described the tattooing procedure as harsh, with facial and head tattoos being the most excruciating. Six full-day sessions, lasting five to six hours each, were necessary for these specific tattoos, with pain levels reaching an eight out of ten.
Weigelt interestingly points out that his tattoos are only expressions of his uniqueness and have no hidden meanings or messages. Regardless of style concerns, he recommends anyone considering getting inked to get tattoos that genuinely resonate with them, having already spent $50,000 on them.
